- Liberalization to sell gum in the open
  market increased the price of gum per
  kilo.

Reclaiming childhood: A case study of childcare centres for the children of Salt Pan workers

- Gujarat Gram Kamdar Kalyan Board
  asked for 50 more copies to give to the
  officials who are working in the salt
  workers welfare schemes.
- Additional provision for Serving Lemon
  juice in the Balwadis was sanctioned.
- Health camps for the children were
  sanctioned.
- Cultural activities for children were also
  sanctioned.

Labouring brick by brick: A study of construction workers

- Meeting with the Labour Minister resulted
  in skill development training by linkup
  with the contractors, made them masons
  from labourers. Their wages also
  increased.
- I-card were also given to the permanent
  workers.
- Social security - Accidental Insurance
  was provided by the Government.

Sewa ‘s point of view accepted by NSS and Census 2001 and Awareness Trainings organised for surveyors to enable accurate recording occupational information of women in the unorganised sector in order to reflect their actual contribution to the national workforce.
